so here is elijah. this picture was taken yesterday =) so very recent. he is cute and yes he has long hair =) he is also wild and i will mail him to you in a box with holes poked in it. don't worry i will stick a bag of cheetos in there so he won't be hungry when he arrives at your door. and for the record he isn't drinking that coke he is just posing for a pic to go in my etsy shop for the felted cozy =)

It's been awhile I know. I don't have internet access on my home computer. I do my internet stuff from my blackberry phone. It makes doing just about anything really difficult. I poked around here @ xanga but couldn't find anything really. Does anybe know if I can text (mms) or email posts in to my blog?
Elijah is big and a chatter box. He will be 3 in January. Yes, 3 already! He is amazing though a bit on the bad side. He is ridiculously cute. I will try to get pics up but it would be much easier if I could do it from my phone! I hope to update semi-regularly!

I really am still here. Xmas just kicked my booty. And yes I'm still not done with some presents. Way to go lacy. A lot has happened since my last post but I will type stuff out when it isn't the middle of the night! Just thought I'd surface to say hi. Elijah is still really cute and smart :) if he were awake I'm sure he'd say hi! I say hi too :)

hello =) elijah is napping though i thought it might not happen today.

this is another xmas list post... people want to know what i want. i will reinterate... i like gift cards! books a million, michaels, hobby lobby, joann fabric, target, winn-dixie, walmart, the outlet mall, etc. but if you want to spend your time buying me things then be my guest...

chocolate. honestly i really don't think i need to describe this one.

betty crocker double chocolate muffin and quick bread mix. it say deluxe or supreme or something and comes in a box. yes it is that good that i am putting it on my xmas list.

yarn. i like it. i want it. give it to me. wool is nice... not as excited about acrylic but hey... is it yarn? i'll take it then. there is a really good chance you will get something made from it either at xmas or some other time.

super glue. no really. i need some and i doubt i will ever remember to get it when i'm at the store. your other non- knitted/crocheted xmas gifts probably depend on it too.

wooden crochet hooks. wood, bamboo. they are just nicer and again i probably won't buy it for myself ever unless i win a shopping spree at a yarn store... and even then i'll just get yarn and leave the hooks and needles behind.

etsy is also a great place to get toys for elijah! lots of great handmade stuff that doesn't contain lead.

i honestly can't think of anything else right now. as for elijah i would rather he recieve presents that don't take batteries and make lots of noise. if you have already gotten him something like that then that is ok! i just don't want every single thing to make noise and i can't afford to keep all his toys in batteries. additionally not all the "bad" toys have been recalled. even though he is almost 2 he still tries to eat everything now and then. actually the boy has more toys already that some 3rd world countries... elijah would also love his very own gift certificate to a bookstore or books. elijah loves books... and bananas. we all know elijah is obsessed with bob the builder but did you know that he also likes go diego go, dora the explorer, curious george, and thomas the tank engine (and others) so if you wanna get him a video bob the builder is good but please consider the others ones so i can keep my sanity. i'm completely immersed in bobsville and sunflower valley (places in bob the builder) and have no idea what goes on anywhere else on some days. pants size 18 monthes because he is skinny and tall. also shirts 18 monthes. elijah said that a trip or two to the park would also substitute nicely for a present. and that reminds me of another present for me... take my child... please... just for an hour. ok that is my list and i will try to think of other things but i only think of things right before i go to sleep and never remember them when i'm trying to.

My friend tree is quite talented and has added a new page to her website. She is making all kinds of crocheted veggies and food in general. Freakin cute. As for other xmas things for me ... Gift cards let me feel like I have money even though I'm broke and can't but things. Well fibermom said she thought she knew what those menacing mushies were. She said basket stink horn. But my friend tree sent me a link that has the real culprit I think... The octopus stinkhorn. Pure evil... Ok not really. Just a very strange mushie. There is a funny story down the page about some other stinkhorns. I can rest easy since I know what they are! It was driving me insane. I have made friends with the stinky little invader :)

so the continuing saga of the weird and yucky mushroom thingies... another has come up in the yard... and i could tell when i smelled the smell. it smells like fruit going bad in the refrigerator. it is strange. so here is a young one since the others were old... and this time there is a weird black grey goo that goes with it on the inside and lots of gnats crawling on it. weird indeed.

ok so i knit 2 korknisse... i will post the pattern link when there is time and i can figure out what it is. since they are tiny i've already memorized the pattern. you can do a google search for korknisse and come up with the pattern and many folks' examples. here are the two i've done but i haven't put bells on the hats or a face. it is a sweater and hat for a cork. sooooo, if you happen to have any corks laying around please mail them to me! i need lots! and this is a very good excuse to get a bottle of wine =) "but lacy *needs* the cork!" it was my first time using dpns (double pointed knitting needles for those un-knit-savey) and i'm proud because i hear you often get ladders but mine didn't... yay me! yay korknisse! yay!
